In short
Trovemont is free to read because the stores we present pay us. Every store on Trovemont is a partner of Star Dream LLC, the company that publishes the site. When you follow one of our links to a store and buy something, or use a code the store gave us, the store may pay us a commission. You pay the same price either way. Links to outside sources never earn us anything. No store can buy a guide, a better position or a kinder sentence. On every page that has paid links, a disclosure appears before the first one.
1. Who we are
Trovemont is published by Star Dream LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. Star Dream LLC holds the partnerships described on this page, receives the commissions and answers for everything published on Trovemont. In this disclosure, "Trovemont", "we", "us" and "our" mean Star Dream LLC. Our company details are on our Legal information page.
2. How Trovemont makes money
Trovemont makes money from commissions paid by partner stores. When you follow one of our links to a partner store and then buy something, the store may pay us a commission on that purchase. The store sets the amount in its affiliate program.
We do not sell advertising space. We publish no sponsored posts, charge no listing fees and sell no placements. Reading Trovemont is free and needs no account.
If a store ever gives us anything else of value in connection with a page, such as a payment or a free product, that page will say so, next to what it concerns.
3. Our relationship with each store
Every store on Trovemont is a partner of Star Dream LLC. We present only stores we partner with. We take part in each store's affiliate program, which the store runs itself or through a company that manages affiliate programs, or we have a direct agreement with the store. The program records the purchases made through our links and with our codes, so that the store can pay us the commission it sets.
This relationship gives us a financial interest in what you buy from the store. It is the reason a store can appear on Trovemont. It does not decide what we write about the store (section 7).
4. Which links can earn us money
4.1 Links to a partner store
Every link that takes you from Trovemont to a partner store is a paid link, wherever it appears, except the two kinds of link named at the end of this section. Paid links include:
- the buttons "Get code", "Get deal", "Visit" followed by the store's name (shortened to "Visit store" or "Visit" on small screens) and "View at" followed by the store's name;
- the "Get deal" and "Visit" buttons in search suggestions;
- the bar at the bottom of the screen on a store guide, which keeps the store's code and link in view;
- links to the store's products, collections and other pages inside a guide, including its quick answer and its product lists;
- the store's own pages when a guide lists them among its sources.
Two kinds of link go straight to the store's website when a page offers them: the "Check the source" link of a product page, which opens the page where we read the product's price, and the link to the original photograph that an image may offer. They are not paid links and are not marked as paid.
4.2 How these links work
A paid link first goes to a short redirect on our own site, at an address that starts with /go/. The redirect records the click without storing your IP address (our Privacy Policy lists everything it records), then sends you to the store with the tracking that the store's program needs to credit the purchase to us. Paid links carry the rel="sponsored nofollow" attribute, which is how Google asks websites to mark paid links.
Most paid links open the store in a new tab. A "Get code" button works differently: it first copies the code, then takes you to the store in the same tab, after two seconds when you click or tap it, or when you choose to continue. "Stay here" cancels.
A paid link does not always land on the exact page named, and it does not always pay. Depending on what the store's program allows, a link to a product can take you to the store's home page instead of that product's page. When no tracked link is available, the link still takes you to the page named, and we earn nothing from it.
Once you reach the store, the store or its affiliate program may use cookies or similar tools to record that you came from Trovemont. That happens on their side, under their own privacy policies. Our Cookie Policy says more.
4.3 Codes
Some offers carry a code that the store or its affiliate program gave us to publish. The program can credit a purchase made with that code to us, even if you did not reach the store through one of our links. How codes are sourced and labeled is explained in our Coupons & Deals Policy.
5. Which links never earn us money
- Outside sources. When a guide cites a public agency, a newspaper, an industry body or any other third party, the link goes straight to that source. It never earns us anything, does not pass through our redirect and is not marked as paid.
- Links within Trovemont. A link from one Trovemont page to another, such as from the Deals page to a store guide, earns nothing by itself.
6. What it costs you
Nothing extra. Using our links or our codes does not raise the price you pay: the store pays the commission, not you. When you use a code, the store applies its discount on its own terms.
7. What a partnership can and cannot buy
A partnership decides one thing: whether a store can appear on Trovemont. It never buys:
- a guide, or a more favorable one;
- a better position anywhere on the site (section 8);
- a kinder adjective, or the removal of a fact;
- a review, a rating, a score or a testimonial.
How much a store pays us changes none of this.
Trovemont is a guide to the stores we partner with, not a review site. Each guide presents what the store sells, with facts checked against the store's own catalog and policies and with its sources named. We do not test the physical products we present, and we never say or suggest that we did. We publish no reviews, ratings or testimonials of our own, and we never write, buy or ask for reviews of a store. When a guide quotes a rating published by a third party, it names the source.
Every guide is researched and drafted with AI and checked automatically. Each guide shows "Editorially reviewed" with the date a member of our editorial team read it in full, or "Editorial review pending" until that reading happens. Our Editorial policy explains how we work.
8. No paid rankings
Nothing on Trovemont is a ranking, and no store can pay for a position on the site. Our listings follow fixed rules:
- Our store directory and our category pages list stores in alphabetical order.
- The Deals page, and the featured offers on our home page, list first the stores whose offers state a discount, then the others, each group in alphabetical order.
The commission a store pays plays no part in this order.
9. Where you will find our disclosures
Our standard short disclosure reads:
Trovemont earns a commission when you buy through some of the links on this page, at no extra cost to you. That is how the research gets paid for. It never changes what we write about a brand.
On every page that has paid links, a disclosure appears before the first one, never only in a footer:
- Store guides. The line "We may earn a commission." opens the guide's quick answer, at the top of the guide, before its first paid link. The short disclosure follows right below the quick answer, with a link to this page. The bar at the bottom of the screen repeats "We may earn a commission."
- Other pages with paid links, such as the home page, the Deals page, the store directory, category pages and product pages: the short disclosure, with a link to this page, appears before the first offer or store link.
- Search suggestions. When suggestions include links to stores, the line "We may earn a commission when you shop through store links." appears above them.
- Every page. The footer repeats the short disclosure under "How we're paid," with a link to this page.
This page is the full disclosure.
10. Images and virtual models
Some images in our guides show Léa, Rebecca or Yuki, Trovemont's AI-generated virtual models. They are not real people and not customers. They present products in our images, the way a model does in a catalog. They do not use, test, endorse or recommend anything, and they do not write our guides. In our guides, a line of text under each image in which one of them appears says so. The store links near those images are paid links like all the others. Our About page introduces them.
Many of our images start from the store's own product photographs, which we use to present the store's products as its affiliate partner. Some are made with AI and show a product in a setting the store did not photograph. An image is not the product: the store's own product page shows what you will receive.
11. Why we tell you this
Because you should know about our financial interest before you decide how much weight to give a page. The Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255) say that a connection between a publisher and a seller that readers would not expect, and that could affect how much weight they give to what the publisher says, must be disclosed clearly and conspicuously. The FTC also asks that a disclosure sit close to what it qualifies and come before people decide to buy. That is why a disclosure sits near our store links, and not only on this page.
12. Changes to this page
We update this page when our relationships, our links or the way we disclose them change, and we change the date at the top when we do.
