Editorial policy

The rules this site actually follows.

Trovemont presents stores it partners with, so the question that matters is what a partnership can buy and what it cannot. This page answers it, along with how a guide is made, checked and read before it goes live. It is the document the site's own structured data names as its publishing principles.

In short

Every store we present is a partner, and no partnership buys a better page. Every link to a partner store may earn us a commission, and the page says so above the first one. AI researches and drafts; automated checks test the facts and every link; a member of our editorial team reads every guide in full before it is published. We do not test physical products, and we never claim to.

01 — Selection

Which stores we present

Every store on Trovemont is a partner of ours, through the store's affiliate program. We present the stores we partner with, and only those.

A partnership decides whether a store can appear here. It never decides what a guide says: a store cannot pay for a page, a better position, an adjective or the removal of a sentence. We present what the store sells, with facts we have checked; we never talk a store down, and we never invent anything.

Each store has exactly one guide, at one address under /stores, filed under one main category. The same store is never republished under a second address to fill a keyword slot.

02 — Affiliation

How links and commissions work

Every link that takes you to a partner store, whether to its home page, a product or a code, goes through a Trovemont redirect, is marked rel="sponsored nofollow" for search engines, and may earn us a commission. You pay the same price either way.

Links to third-party sources, such as public agencies, the press or industry bodies, go straight to the source. They never earn anything, and they are not marked as paid.

The disclosure sits above the first paid link on every page that has one, in the wording reproduced on the affiliate disclosure page. Commissions are the site's only revenue: no display advertising, no sponsored posts, no paid placement, no listing fee.

03 — Machines

Where AI is used, exactly

Trovemont uses AI to research stores and draft its guides. Automated checks compare each guide’s facts with the store’s own catalog and policies and test every link. Each guide says whether a member of our editorial team has read it in full: “Editorially reviewed” with the date of that reading, or “Editorial review pending” until it happens. Some images on the site feature our AI-generated virtual models; in our guides, those images say so. Every day, an automated check re-reads the code and discount of each store, and any change it records appears on this site by itself, with the date of the latest check shown as "Verified on".

Leading AI models do the research and write the first draft of each guide, from the store's own pages and from sources we cite. Automated checks then compare the guide's facts with the store's own catalog and policies and test every link, before the guide reaches our editorial team. A model never publishes anything.

What a model is never allowed to produce: a rating, a claim that something was tested, or a verification date. The last one matters most: a check that did not happen never gets a date, however plausible the guess would look.

04 — Review

Who reads a guide, and how the page says so

Each guide says whether a member of our editorial team has read it in full: “Editorially reviewed” with the date of that reading, or “Editorial review pending” until it happens.

The “Editorially reviewed” date on a guide is the date that reading was recorded, with the name of the team member who did it kept on our side. Guides are signed “Edited by the Trovemont editorial team”. That team is the Star Dream team, which includes freelancers who help us check the site; who we are is on the about page.

05 — Offers

What the labels on an offer mean

“Verified on” and a date appear beside an offer only when an automated check re-read its code and discount on that date and recorded it; nobody tries the code at checkout. Until an offer has been checked, its store's guide reads “Not yet verified” (offer cards in lists leave that label out). No date is ever shown for a check that did not happen.

Every day, an automated check re-reads the code and discount of each store, and any change it records appears on this site by itself, with the date of the latest check shown as "Verified on".

When an offer has ended, the store's page keeps it in a separate list of past offers, labeled “Expired”, instead of presenting it as live; the deals index lists live offers only. An offer with no end date gets no countdown timer: manufactured urgency is a lie about a fact the site does not have. Codes and offers belong to the stores and can change or end at any time; the store's own terms apply at checkout.

06 — Testing

What we test, and what we do not

We do not test the physical products we present, whether clothing, jewelry, beauty, wellness or anything else, and we never say or suggest that we did. We publish no ratings, scores or reviews of our own, and no rating or review markup.

Software and AI tools are the one exception to that rule. When our team really uses a tool, a guide may say so, and only with evidence of that use.

07 — Virtual models

Léa, Rebecca and Yuki

Léa, Rebecca and Yuki are Trovemont's AI-generated virtual models, not real people. Their only role is to present products in our images, always in catalog poses. Any of the three can present any store, sometimes together, and their look adapts to each brand.

They do not test anything, give opinions or recommend products. They do not write, edit or review anything on Trovemont, they are never presented as customers, and they have no biography, because they are not people. They are introduced on the about page, apart from the team.

08 — Evidence

Sources and citation

Facts carry their source. Each guide lists the pages it draws on, and the prices in a guide carry the date they were read, because prices change.

A score from a third party, when a guide cites one, is quoted in prose with its source, its scale and the date it was read, and it is never turned into rating markup. A site that has measured nothing does not get to emit a rating.

09 — Corrections

When something here is wrong

If a fact on a page is wrong, whether a price, a term, a detail about a store or an offer shown as live after it ended, write to us with the page address and the sentence concerned. We check the report against the store's own pages and correct the guide.

A store asking us to correct its own details goes through the same check: the correction is made when the store's own pages support it.

10 — Readers

What the site records

Trovemont has no accounts, no sign-ups and no advertising profiles. Outbound clicks are counted against a daily salted hash so that the traffic can be measured without the visitor being identified: the raw IP address is never stored.

The full account, including what analytics runs and under what consent, is on the privacy page.
