NewRuleFX.com: Breakaway and Foam Rubber Props From $3.00

Which NewRuleFX.com props should you look at first?

SMASHProps is the breakaway effects brand of New Rule Productions, Inc., and NewRuleFX pairs it with "a growing line of action props, expendables and a custom build team," as its About Us page puts it. The shop makes its breakaway glass and ceramic items from a proprietary blend of polymer plastics. Almost every prop is made to order, so build time comes before transit. Browse all 346 products at NewRuleFX.com.

Six mugs of 4.25 oz each make up the SMASHProps Breakaway Green Coffee Mug - 6 PIECE - DARK GREEN opaque set, which the shop labels "Actor safe!" At 10 oz, the 26.5 Inch Bulky Foam Rubber Crowbar Silver and Black Prop keeps its shape around a fiberglass core. The Silver and Black 9.5 Inch Training Knife - Solid Rubber Contact Prop with Safe Blade has a 5.5" blade in solid, flexible rubber for close-combat fight scenes.

Buyers of the SMASHProps Breakaway Beer Bottle Prop VALUE 6 Pack choose Amber Brown Translucent, Dark Green Translucent, Clear or Mixed Translucent bottles. Molded from a real tool, the Foam Rubber 13.25 Inch Small Hatchet Axe Prop comes in five finishes, from Rusty to Bloody Gauze. Sold six to a set, the two SMASHProps breakaway sets suit crews building up a breakaway stockpile, as the mug listing puts it.

What does NewRuleFX.com sell?

Breakaway bottles are "the most popular item category" of the shop's props, says the Breakaway Glass Bottles page. They are made from plastic resins that "will not dissolve in water," and "Most of our bottles can hold liquid." Across its 346 products, prices start at $3.00, the price of the Acrylic Crystal Ice Cube and of single self adhesive bottle labels.

NewRuleFX.com publishes 346 products in all, and its all-products page gathers the full catalog.

The shop says its D-handle Short Round Point Shovel Prop is made for scenes where a real shovel would be too dangerous or where contact with actors is required. Its training and simulation page adds that its flexible and breakaway props "can safely interact with persons in a way that the real thing cannot." The seven props' foam, rubber, plastic and silicone builds suit stunt performers and productions where a real axe, bat or shovel would be unsafe.

The Silicone Blood Pool Puddle Mat Prop "will easily peel off the ground or any other surface without leaving any marks or coloring." The shop asks buyers to allow 3-4 business days before the mat ships out. More foam rubber tools and weapons are gathered in the Rubber Props collection.

The syringe listing states "This prop cannot inject liquids," and its liquid version "can hold up to 2mL of liquid." Its blunt needle retracts into a spring-loaded cavity to simulate an injection.
